June 06

The following are just a few odd shots taken during the first half of June

To Start off 37215 trundles through Gotherington during the Centenary Gala at the Glos/Warwicks Rly

Same location an hour later as 9F Black Prince distorts Dixton Manor with the heat haze from it's Chimney

Gotherington once again but this time 4141 heads North towards Wichcombe and Toddington

My day was spent at Gotherington to enjoy the celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the station's opening, the owners worked hard to put on a great party culminating in live music, here we see an impromptu band take to the 'stage' (or should that be platform) to perform some Jazz to start the evening off. Thanks must go to all who helped make this a great day especially the station owners and Tewkesbury YMCA Railway Society.

During the evening we were treated to a Gibson/Tabla performance which contrasted nicely with the jazz we had been listening to.

Lastly some 'rough-edged' blues was played when I managed to catch the guitarist silhouetted against a cast iron GWR lamp post

A few days I captured this scene as 67020 passes Churchdown with a VSOE return working to Victoria

Same spot another few days later as 66403 takes three new class mates from Newport Docks to Carlisle for acceptance by DRS
